CONFERENCES

The successful 13th International Conference on Concrete Block Pavement (ICCBP 2026) was held 9 to 10 April 2026 in Hyderabad, India. The event was hosted by the Paver and Block Manufacturers Association of India with support from industry companies.

The 14th ICCBP returns to South Africa and will be held in Cape Town 21 to 23 February 2029. The event is hosted by the Concrete Manufacturers Association of South Africa.

The Charminar in Hyderabad

The triennial international conferences attract manufacturers, contractors, suppliers, academics, researchers, trade associations, and users from around the world meet and discuss technical and scientific progress in block pavements. Participation in the conferences provides a common platform for decision makers, managers, maintenance engineers, and researchers to share experiences in block pavement production, design, construction, and maintenance. In addition to presentations of papers by authors from around the world, conferences include an exhibition of industry suppliers and there is often a post-conference technical tour.

PREVIOUS CONFERENCES

Since the first International Conference held in Newcastle, UK in 1980, these important events have been held in locations around the world selected by SEPT members to ensure the widest dissemination of current thinking. All these conferences embrace practical engineering combined with the most current research and have the central aim of developing concrete block pavement technology.
